Johanna Pinggera : After a remarkable career as head of the human resource department in the private industry, Johanna Pinggera embarked on her academic career. She studied in Political Science and International Relations in Padova (Italy) , where she graduated 2005 after a one year stay in Reading (UK) as a visiting student of the department of politics and international relations.

After a short break she continued with a MSc in European Political Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Since 2009 she has been employed in ever new teaching assistant positions at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy) and started a PdD at the University of Innsbruck. As teaching assistant at the faculty of economics and management she assisted various economic history of economic theory courses as well as the Executive Master in Hospitality Management.

Her research interests focus on the vibrant nexus between politics and economics in the international realm, and her current research addresses European (foreign) energy policies, the coordination of EU politics in Germany and Italy, and private industry engagement in EU affairs.
