Dr. Natascha Zeitel-Bank studied sociology at the University Mannheim and has a doctorate in political science at the university Erlangen-Nürnberg (European Integration / Regional Policy). She is senior lecturer / FH-professor at the Management Center Innsbruck (since 2007) and since 2003 external lecturer at the University Innsbruck, department of political science with focus on International Relations / European Integration, Political Communication, PR & and Media.
Dr. Zeitel-Bank has several years teaching experiences at the University of Economics in Prague, Czech Republic (Communication Management in the Public Sector) (2013-2016) and at the Media Design Hochschule, Department of Media and Communication Management, in Munich, Germany (2014-15). From 2003 -2008 she worked as project manager in the field of marketing for France and Italy at the Tyrolean Tourist Board in Innsbruck, Austria. From 1997-2000 she was PR manager / journalist at the audiovisual press division of the directorate of communication under the authority of the European Commission President in Brussels, Belgium.
During her studies and professional experiences Dr. Zeitel-Bank had research stays at the University of Cape Town, Graduate School of Business (GSB), South Africa and at the University of Indiana, Institute for Development Strategies, Bloomington/ Indiana, USA. She got a research grant of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for her doctoral thesis at the European Commission, Directorate General of Regional Policy and has completed an internship (“stage”) at the Economic and Social Committee (PR division) and European Commission spokesman service in Brussels, Belgium in the year 1990. Before Dr. Zeitel-Bank started her academic career she worked more than ten years as journalist with focus on European affairs (ZDF, Deutsche Welle, Bavarian television) in Mainz, Munich, Berlin and Brussels.
